Using a leg checking move (Lap Gurk), Sifu Brian not only blocks a low roundhouse attack, but simultaneously gains ground on his opponent, allowing him to open up the centre line and get to work.

This time around, Sifu Brian Desir shows another way to deal with the roundhouse kick. This one is not only an effective defence, but will also do a fair bit of damage to the attackers leg.

In this video, Sifu Brian demonstrates a defence against a roundhouse kick, a favourite of Muay Thai and Tae Kwon Do practitioners. The counter attack uses the sensitivities developed through chi sao to open a gap for delivery of the payload.
